The Gaynor Minden pointe shoe is built on an elastomeric platform, these shoes do not “break-in”. They may last 3-5 times longer than the typical “paste-constructed” shoe and you will very probably wear out the toe tip satin long before you wear out the shank. There is a “Tip Top” kit available as well as the new suede tip shoe. The shoe is highly customizable with nearly 3000 shoe combinations. If you know ALL your specs including size, box, shank, vamp and heel, we will be happy to process your order. Note: extra-flex (#1) shank and sleek vamp are not standard Gaynor Minden specs and require extra time. Gaynor Minden shoes should not be ordered without first being fitted by a professional from a knowledgeable dance supply store such as our main retail location in beautiful West Chester, Pennsylvania.
